We currently gather in a beautiful, historic church building located at 2601 Minnesota Ave in Tower Grove East. As of right now only street parking is available. We would love for you to join us.
What to Expect
Checking out a church for the first time can be an anxious experience. So, here are few things you can expect (and not expect) when you come to August Gate. First, don’t expect a big performance, light show or mini-concert. There’s nothing wrong with that; it’s just not our style. Don’t expect us to put you on the spot. We won’t make you stand up during the service to announce yourself as a guest. However we certainly do want to know who you are and find out if August Gate is the church for you, so expect a few people to try and connect with you.
Please come dressed as you feel comfortable. Be ready for a 45 minute sermon and 30 minutes of worship based in Scripture. Every week we have hang out time before and after the worship service including coffee, tea and other drinks. Again, expect several people to try to connect with you.
Each week we provide every person with “the Knot.” This is our version of the traditional church bulletin. In the Knot you can find weekly announcements, a place to take notes, as well as our contact card. The contact card is our way to communicate with you, our way of getting to know you better. Please fill out as much information as you feel comfortable with and turn it in to the giving box or one of the pastors. Upon turning in a contact card for the first time, we will give you a great book as a welcome gift.
We have a great children’s experience available every Sunday. AG Kids is designed to help your children connect with God, His Word, and each other. There is a secure and simple registration process that you will be walked through at the registration table. We have two areas for kids: Nursery for 6 weeks to 2 years old and Kids for 3-5 years old.
