Genesis
For our new series we start at the beginning of it all, creation. Pastor Noah walks us through 7 acts of creation and the fall pointing us to the truth of the Gospel in each of them. (We apologize for the background music on this recording, some wires were crossed.)
This week's text is probably one of the most well known Bible "stories" and the danger comes when we look at it as that and not as a part of the story of redemption. The focus of this narrative is not that God judges but the fact that God saves.
In this week's text we see Abraham, father of the Hebrew nation, a man who's faithfulness is counted as righteousness, promised and tested. And while he is faithful we also see many times he is faithless but that God is always faithful. This narrative is in fact about God's faithfulness to Abraham and Abraham's faithfulness to repent to God.
